Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium with high dust collection efficiency and low pressure loss.SOLUTION: A filter medium contains electrostatically-spun ultrafine fibers, and the ultrafine fiber has a plurality of ester bonds in the molecule. An average fiber diameter of the ultrafine fibers is preferably within a range of 10-5000 nm. The ultrafine fiber is preferably formed of polylactic acid, polyethylene terephthalate, polymethyl methacrylate, or polycarbonate. A manufacturing method of a fiber structure for the filter medium includes a process of preparing a spinning solution in which resin having a plurality of ester bonds in the molecule is dispersed or dissolved in a solvent, and a process of obtaining the fiber structure containing the ultrafine fibers by electrostatically-spinning the spinning solution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
