To suppress reduction of a filtration area and elongate the life of a filter in a filter unit for removing a particle, a metal ion and the like from a fluid.
The filter unit comprises a filtration part 2 having an inverted cup shape and a lower part closed by a bottom plate 1; and a filter case 4 covering an outer side of the filtration part 2 such that a space 3 is formed on an outer periphery and an upper part of the filtration part 2. In the filter unit, a liquid outlet/inlet port 6 directly led to the space 23 in the filtration part 2 and a liquid outlet/inlet port 7 directly led to the space 3 are provided on a lower part side surface of the filter case 4 respectively. An air vent pipe 14 penetrating the bottom plate 1 mounted with the filter filtration part 2 for venting air stored in the space 23 is inserted to the space 23 in the filtration part 2. A distal end opening 15 of the air vent pipe 14 is positioned near an upper surface 16 in the space 23 of the filtration part 2.
