Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce periodic variation in the rotational frequency of a rotating body down to 1st order by measuring and processing rotational frequencies at many measuring positions which are equally distributed through the rotational path of the rotating body.
SOLUTION: A screw shaft 2 is fitted with a sensor device 4. This sensor device 4 measures the rotational frequencies of the shaft by many measuring instruments and also calculates electronic rotational frequency signal values corresponding to those measured values. Rotational frequency values are estimated during the rotation at the respective measuring positions as differences of measured rotational frequencies represented by the electronic rotational frequency signal values from an estimated deviation value. The estimated rotational frequency values are updated as a function of the estimated rotational frequency deviation value and the actual rotational frequency deviation value at the same measuring position during the rotation at respective measuring positions for specific rotation. The actual rotational frequency deviation value is found as the difference between the actual measured rotational frequency at a measuring position and a calculated mean rotational frequency.
