To provide a fin tube type heat exchanger and its manufacturing method composed of copper tubes and fins, having extremely high heat exchanging efficiency and capable of being manufactured at low costs.
In this fin tube type heat exchanger composed of copper tubes 20 and fins 10 integrally molded, the copper tubes 20 have the roughly-flat shape on its cross-section orthogonal to the extending direction, and has a pair of flat faces 21, 21 opposed to each other in the minor axis direction, a plurality of flow channels in which a refrigerant is circulated are arranged in the major axis direction, the cross-section orthogonal to the extending direction of the flow channels has the rectangular shape having a side ridge portion along the flat face 21, the fins 10 are provided with inserting portions 11, and the copper tubes 20 inserted into the inserting portions 11 are expanded by being pressed from the flow channels, thus the fins 10 and the flat faces 21 of the copper tubes 20 are closely kept into contact with each other and bonded.
