To provide a financial services guide system which is a system for bringing profits to both a user and a financial institution and which is capable of conveying information such as the service contents of a plurality of financial institutions, installation sites of automatic transaction devices and their functions to the user as minutely as possible and as accurately and simply as possible.
A Web page of "financial services guide" is opened through the Internet by using a portable telephone 7. There are automatic transaction devices which are provided with a money receipt/payment function, those which are provided only with a payment function, those which are provided only with a function for entering data to a bankbook, those which are provided with a remittance function such as transfer, and the like. A database retrieval means 13 of a database server 5 narrows down the ranges of retrieval from positional information on the portable telephone 7 and extracts, within the range, information on the automatic transaction devices capable of dealing with transaction designated by the user. Furthermore, out of the extracted automatic transaction devices, those which are available at a designated time are listed up and the result is edited. When the user needs cash suddenly outside, it is possible to obtain information such as where the automatic transaction device from which cash can be drawn from one's own bank account of a correspondence bank exists, where the nearest place is, until what time it is available, where the charge is most inexpensive, and the like, at any time.
