Abstract:

To provide a viewfinder optical system which has a high magnification and a long eye relief and offers superior optical performance.SOLUTION: A viewfinder optical system for observing an image displayed on an image display surface is provided, the system comprising a first lens having positive refractive power, a second lens having negative refractive power, a third lens having positive refractive power, and a fourth lens having positive refractive power arranged in order from the image display surface side to the observation side. A refractive index nd1 of a material of the first lens, a refractive index nd2 of a material of the second lens, a focal length f1 of the first lens, a focal length f of the viewfinder optical system, and the like are each set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
