Title:
FIRE ALARM SYSTEM WITH SMOKE PARTICLE IDENTIFYING FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3860635
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of erroneous alarm due to transient noise by preventing the starting of an informing part even when a signal generated by dust particles within a smode detection is received so as to operate the detector with highest sensitivity.
SOLUTION: The light source 30-1 of the coherent light of high luminance such as a laser or laser diode is mounted on a housing or a chamber 30, and an optical sensor 30-7 detects a part of light beams scattered by the particle 6 of smoke to convert a light signal to an electrical signal. An electronic circuit within the detector is transmitted to a control panel or a controller 12. This detector generates only a transient output signal in response to the existence of dust even at the time of being exposed to a dust environment. It is because intervals mutually between dust particles are larger than the size of a light beam 30-3. Then the controller, etc., includes a microprocessor 14 and a control program and processes a signal waveform received from a sensor 30 in order to remove a non-fire signal generating a prescribed waveform.
