PURPOSE: To raise an alarm by speedily discovering fire by generating an alarm signal from a light emitter, sound generator or the both when the output signal of a detection sensor reaches higher than a fixed value.
CONSTITUTION: A detection sensor 1 is fitted to a ceiling 4 so as to detect the generation of fire under the ceiling 4. When the detection sensor 1 outputs the output signal after detecting that the radiation intensity of a light beam having a wavelength from an ultraviolet area to an infrared area is higher than a fixed level, an alarm sound is generated from an alarm 3 by receiving the output signal. Thus, since the alarm sound is generated by the alarm 3 when the detection sensor 1 detects fire, time from fire generation to detection / alarm is extremely shortened, and initial fire fighting can be effectively executed.
