In a fire division hanging wall to be installed on a ceiling 10, a Shoji (sliding screen) 3 includes upper/lower rails 4 and 5, vertical stiles 6, and a panel 7. The upper/lower rails 4 and 5 and the vertical stiles 6 enclose the four sides of the panel 7, includes the panel 7 attached in the inner periphery part, and are mounted between an upper rail 1 attached to the ceiling 10 and a lower rail 2 suspended from the upper rail 1 by suspension members 8. The vertical stiles 6 are so formed as to freely adjust the length according to an interval between the upper rail 1 and the lower rail 2.
