A fire-resisting layer 4 comprising a tabular molded form of expanded vermiculite is fitted into a frame body 3 forming the periphery of a square-shaped fire door A, and the surfaces of the fire-resisting layer 4 are covered with decorative sheets 5. The tabular molded forms of expanded vermiculite are superposed and formed on the surface and rear of the frame body 3 in one layer or more as the fire-resisting layers 4. Excellent heat-insulating properties and fire-resisting properties original in vermiculite are displayed, specific gravity is lowered, and the fire door is lightened.
