Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the fire extinguishing performance by preparing a fire extinguisher by use of a mixture of a C1 -C5 alkane halide such as bromochlorodifluoromethane and an organophosphorus compound such as trialkyl phosphate. CONSTITUTION: A C1 -C5 alkane halide and an organophosphorus compound are mixed together, preferably in amounts of 35-99.9wt.% of the former and 0.1-65wt.% of the latter, to prepare a fire extinguisher composite. Preferred examples of the alkane halide include bromochlorodifluoromethane, dichlorodifluoromethane, and the like. As the organophosphorus compound, a compound represented by the formula I (X represents halogen atom, R1 , R2 , R3 , R4 and R5 represent C1 -C18 alkyl group, C8 -C12 aryl group, and the like, E represents oxygen atom or sulfur atom, and (k), (l) and (m) represents 0 or 1) is preferred.
