Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a fire retardant decorative material having both of excellent fire retardancy and low smoking properties, reducing dangerousness at the time of the generation of a fire and suitably adapted to the ceiling and wall of a house by fixing an inorg. fiber to the surface of backing paper containing aluminum hydroxide.
CONSTITUTION: A fire retardant decorative material is obtained by fixing 50-600g/m2 of an inorg. fiber to the surface of backing paper containing aluminum hydroxide. A fire retardant paint compsn. is constituted by mainly using an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer with a vinyl chloride modification ratio of 10-50% and/or an acrylic emulsion resin or an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer with a vinylidene chloride modification ratio of 5-50% and/or an acrylic emulsion resin and contains the resin in an amt. of 30-70wt.%.
