To obtain the subject base plate having high fireproof performance, capable of suppressing feed of air and oxidation of a mineral fiber of a rock wool plate and decreasing calorific value due to oxidation by forming a coating film of an inorganic coating material on the rock wool plate.
This fireproof base plate is obtained by forming an inorganic coating film 2 applied of an inorganic coating material onto at least one side of a rock wool plate 1. A material obtained by melting slag at a high temperature to form a mineral fiber and solidifying the fiber into a plate-like shape with a phenol resin binder can be used as the rock wool plate 1. A material obtained by blending aluminum hydroxide as a main component with an extender, pigment, a resin, etc., and containing 5-15wt.% organic component is preferably used as the inorganic coating material. Furthermore, fireproof performance is preferably enhanced, because heat reflecting property of the inorganic coating film 2 is increased by using white calcium carbonate as the extender and using white pigment composed mainly of titanium oxide as the pigment.
