Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a laminated glass structure having a fireproofing protective effect by introducing a flowable mixture prepd. by reacting an aluminum component, phosphoric acid component, amine component and optionally water at specific ratios between glass sheets and subjecting the glass sheets to a heat treatment to gelatinize this mixture.
CONSTITUTION: The acidic aluminum phosphate is prepd. by adding orthophosphoric acid at 2 to 4 mole per mole of aluminum hydroxide to the aluminum hydroxide and effecting reaction. Next, ethanol-amine is added thereto at 0.5 to 1.5 mole per 100 g acidic aluminum phosphate in an aq. soln. of a concn. 20 to 80 wt.% and the reaction is effected to obtain a product which exhibits a flow property of ≥24 hours at 5 to 30°C and changes to a transparent gel within 24 hours when heated to ≥45°C. The product having the flow property of ≤30°C is introduced and packed between the glass sheets and is gelatinized by heat treating at 50 to 120°C, by which the single layer or multilayer glass structure holding the gel with the glass sheet is obtd. The concn. of the gelatinized matter may be changed in a range of 40 to 100 wt.% and the thickness of the gel layer in a range of 0.05 to 25 mm.
