The agglomerator cyclically operates by introducing the fuel and a supplied matter of oxidizing agent into at least one duct to start the combustion of the supplied matter. The flow of the particles are exposed to the combustion to produce a shock wave that causes the particles to be partially agglomerated. The flow passes through a particle removal device 104 and is discharged.
