Title:
FISH FINDER AND METHOD OF DETECTING FISH SCHOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004003940
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a fish finder which solves the problem of the difficulty in simultaneous fish detection and detailed conditions of seabed sedimentary layers.

A transducer 16 transmits an ultrasonic waves into water and receives a reflected wave thereof. An A/D convertor 26 converts the reflected wave into a digital signal and stores it as detected information into a buffer memory 24. A seabed-detecting part 36 detects the seabed, based on the detected information and outputs it at a detected image-generating part 102. The detected image-generating part 102 generates a visualized detected image, based on visualization ranges which differ in the upper and lower parts with respect to a seabed-based boundary. Thereby, visualization ranges for a plurality of objects to be detected can be set simultaneously.
