To easily and accurately judge whether a spectacle lens is fit for a frame of a spectacle frame by comparing respective shape data on a lens shape of the spectacle lens after end surface work and a ball type shape of the spectacle frame.
A ball type shape information on a ball type FL of a spectacle frame MF measured by a ball type shape measuring device 1 is inputted to a fitness judging device 2, and is stored in a memory M1 through an operation control circuit 2a. A lens shape of a lens edge top part formed on the peripheral edge of this spectacle lens L on which grinding work is performed, is measured by a lens shape measuring device 3, and whether or not this measured lens shape information coincides with the ball type shape information is judged by using the fitness judging device 2.
