Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an enhanced conformable disposable adhesive bondage which can securely stick to a wearer's skin with a less amount of an adhesive agent by forming the backing material from a material conformable with the wearer's skin and in such a manner as to be easily deformed and return to its original form. CONSTITUTION: A disposable adhesive bondage 10 is composed of a backing material 20, an adhesive layer 30 and an absorbent pad 40. The backing material 20 is composed of a polymer foam or textile material in order to afford the adhesive bondage 10 with an appropriate conformability. It is preferably composed of, for example, an independent foamed polyvinyl chloride foam or film, etc. Further, when worn, in order to give conformability and strength in all directions, it is necessary to have identical or similar stretchability and recoverability in all directions. As a backing material 20, for example, plasticized polyvinyl chloride foam having about 30 pounds/feet<3> in density and about 20 mil in thickness is preferable.
