PURPOSE: To dispense with test work and correction after cable connection so as to enhance work efficiency by combining a fitting device with a connection testing device, and executing a connection test simultaneously with connection work of a PAT connector.
CONSTITUTION: When a PAT connector A to which a communication cable core wire B to be measured is press-fitted is fitted to a pin terminal box 3, and a blade-shape metallic plate of the connector A is brought into contact with a pin terminal 4 supplied with voltage, an electric current flows in a cable circuit 7. This current is detected to judge whether good or not, and in the case it is good, a fitting device is driven by a driving current from a testing device to push out a press-contact plate 2 for fitting of the connector A. By executing a connection test of the PAT connector A simultaneously with fitting work of the connector A workability of connection can be enhanced.
