PURPOSE: To make it possible to hermetically seal a windshield glass by such an arrangement wherein spacers are fitted to the end of a windshield glass, and after these spacers are inserted into openings for inserting windshield glass, they are further inserted into receiving holes provided in a panel.

CONSTITUTION: A windshield glass 10 is equipped with 2 pieces of spacer 20 in the direction of its width in advance. The surface of the spacer 20 at its end, facing to a cowl outer panel 14, composes a guide surface which is used for inserting the windshield glass 10 into an opening 16 for inserting windshield glass, and it is arranged to be able to slide on a sloped surface provided on the outer panel 14. The spacers 20, at the end of their insertion, are inserted into receiving holes 24 for positioning. The glass 10 is moved, perpendicular to its surface, toward inside a cabin, and a sealer 18 is securely held between the glass 10 and the outer panel 14 and it hermetically seals between both items.
