Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily and correctly caulk an end of a fitting pipe to a shoulder of a gas generator.SOLUTION: An end 31 of a fitting pipe 30 is so deformed as to be bent towards a radial direction inner side of the fitting pipe 30 over the whole circumference thereof, whereby a bent part 37 is formed on the fitting part 30. The bent part 37 of the fitting pipe 30 is pressed towards a shoulder 23 of a gas generator 20 over the whole circumference thereof, whereby a caulk part 38 is formed on the fitting pipe 30. A pressing surface 52 of a pressing component 50 has a clearance between itself and the shoulder 23 of the gas generator 20 which is gradually reduced as approaching the radial direction inner side of the fitting pipe 30. The bent part 37 of the fitting pipe 30 is pressed by the pressing surface 52 of the pressing component 50, and is deformed towards the shoulder 23 until the bent part is brought into surface contact with the shoulder 23 of the gas generator 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
