Title:
FITTING STRUCTURE OF BRAKE PAD WEAR DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3734546
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the security and reliability of the action of a wear detecting system of a brake pad by suppressing the wear and damages of a brake pad wear detector associated with the vibration of a vehicle in a fitting structure of the brake pad wear detector capable of mitigating the impact on the wear detector through the collision with a brake disk
SOLUTION: C-shaped claw parts 12, 16 are provided on forward and rear pieces 11, 14 of a U-shaped clip 10 holding a back plate of a brake pad, a part of a brake pad wear detector 40 is respectively held by the C-shaped claw part 12 of one piece and the C-shaped claw part 16 of the other piece to support the brake pad wear detector 40 at two points. The force in the longitudinal direction applied to the brake pad wear detector is sustained by either of the C-shaped claw parts 12, 16 of the forward and rear pieces 11, 14.
