A metal fitting 11 for fixing panels 14, 15 on a wooden beam 16 comprises a fixed metal fixture 12 and a pair of metal holds 13. The metal fixture 12 has the middle portion of almost its belt-like plate body formed into its bottom portion 12a, and both end portions are bent at right angles and so a positioning portion 12b is formed. A top portion of the metal fixture 12 is bent outside in an inverted U formed and so a hold portion 12d is formed. A screw 17 is screwed into a screw hole 12g of the bottom portion 12a of the metal fixture 12 and into the wooden beam 16, so that the metal fixture 12 is fixed to the wooden beam 16. The vertical piece 13a of the metal hold 13 in a L form is held in the hold portion 12d of the metal fixture 12, and a horizontal piece 13b is inserted into a hole 14b, 15d of and end piece 14a, 15b of the panel 14, 15.
