Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a cutting work device and cutting method to carry out the cutting work of the edge surface and the external surface of fabricated parts on the same tool rest table.
CONSTITUTION: A setting and fitting part 7 of fabricated parts 1 is held to a chuck 20 fitted to a slidable sleeve provided to a jig table, the sleeve is shifted in the axial direction, a carrier pin 25 fitted to the spindle shaft 3 is engaged with an engaging hole 30 formed in a cylinder part 6 of the fabricated parts 1, and the cylinder part 6 is rotated by rotating the spindle shaft 3. In order to achieve a positional matching of the carrier pin 25 to the engaging hole 30, the axial movement of the sleeve is stopped halfway by a stopper means, and the movement of the sleeve to the main spindle 3 side is regulated in the engaged condition by the stopper means. The force in the axial direction is not applied to the cylinder part 6, and only the rotational force is given to the cylinder part 6 by the main spindle 3. Then, the cutting work of the end surface of the cylinder part 6 and the lead work of the outer circumferential surface is achieved, and the working accuracy is improved, resulting in the lead work with high accuracy.
