Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel fixation system provided with a reflective optical sensor.SOLUTION: A fixation system fixes a toner image carried on a sheet recording medium as a visible image of an electrostatic latent image, on the sheet recording medium. The fixation system includes: a fixation device that fixes a toner image by reacting heat and pressure on the toner image while sandwiching and conveying a sheet recording medium carrying the toner image by a pair of rotation members; a reflective optical sensor 200 that detects the surface state of a rotation member; and movement means 201, 203, 205, 207 and 209 that move the reflective optical sensor. The movement means moves the reflective optical sensor to a first position and a second position in an A direction crossing the movement direction of the surface of the rotation member by rotation. The first position is a position where the reflective optical sensor 200 performs a detection operation, and the second position is a position where the reflective optical sensor 200 does not perform the detection operation.
