PURPOSE: To make it possible to accurately take out a prescribed quantity of bean sprout by a method wherein when a metering bucket detects carrying in of a predetermined quantity of bean sprout, either one of large and small two feeding conveyors is stopped, and bean sprout is fed by one conveyor with a small quantity.

CONSTITUTION: Until when a metering bucket 7 detects a predetermined quantity which is slightly less than the weight which should be metered at last, first and second feeding conveyors 1, 4, 5 are driven together at a high speed. When the metering bucket 7 detects the predetermined weight, the first feeding conveyor 1 and either one of the second feeding conveyors 4, 5 are stopped. The second feeding conveyor 4 is kept driven continuously, and in the metering bucket 7, bean sprout is kept fed with a small quantity by this small conveyor 4. When the quantity of bean sprout has reached a weight to be metered finally, it is detected accurately, and shutters 8, 9 are closed, and the bean sprout in the metering bucket 7 is discharged.
