PURPOSE: To transfer a fragile packed pad and the like without causing the application of large pressing force to the pad, by using a pair of carrying belt conveyers successively holding the pad one by one.

CONSTITUTION: A supplied product 1 from a product supplier 2 is detected by a detector on the way of reaching a product placing unit 8 in device of a pair of belt conveyers 3, 3. The product 1 is moved by the conveyers 3, 3 by the distance of width of one product through a detected signal from the detector. Then the product 1, dropped onto the product placing unit 8, is pressed between the conveyers 3, 3 by a pawl part 4a fo a pressing device 4 and held by friction. In this way, if a prescribed number of the products 1 are held between the conveyers 3, 3, a counted signal of a counter is transmitted, and the conveyers 3, 3 are rapidly rotated and moved to a prescribed distance.
