Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that jammed recording paper cannot be taken out because the recoding paper is not sent to a unit to which the recording paper is to be originally sent out when the recording paper stops across a plurality of units although a fixing device for an image forming device is generally provided with a manual recording paper sending mechanism for processing a jam.
SOLUTION: A manual rotation mechanism for a heat roller 15 in the fixing device 14 is arranged on the deep side of the image forming device and prevented from being operated until the fixing device is drawn out of a body, and a pinion 23 to be engaged with both of a 1st gear 20 for rotating the heat roller 15 and a 2nd gear 22 attached to a manual rotation knob 21 so as to be engaged with the 1st gear 20 are provided. The pinion 23 is disengaged from the 1st gear 20 when the heat roller 15 is rotated in the forward direction, and engaged with both the 1st and 2nd gears 20, 22 to prevent the reverse rotation of the 1st gear 20 when the heat roller 15 is rotated in the reverse direction.
