Abstract:
To provide a fixing device comprising a contact and separation mechanism that allows a cleaning member to obtain a sufficient frictional force when the member is brought into contact with a cleaning target and is easily assembled.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a fixing member 51; a pressure member 52; a cleaning member 82; and a contact and separation mechanism 80 that moves the cleaning member 82 between a contact position to bring the cleaning member into contact with a surface of the fixing member 51 or the pressure member 52 and a separation position to separate the cleaning member from the surface of the fixing member or the pressure member. The contact and separation mechanism 80 consists of a cam 81 that is rotatable centered on a cam shaft, a holding member 83 that is rotatable centered on a rotation spindle, and an urging member 85 that urges the holding member 83. The holding member 83 has at least a pair of rotation spindle support parts 83a that are rotated integrally with a cam follower 87, a bearing holding part 83b that holds the cleaning member through a bearing part, and an urging member contact part 83c. The bearing holding part 83b is disposed on one end side in an axial direction of the rotation spindle 86, and the urging member contact part 83c is disposed on the other end side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
