PURPOSE: To improve the heat receiving efficiency of a print and the quality of an image part by interrupting a portion from the print insertion side up to a heat roll part of a pair of heating parts opposed to each other on the upper and lower parts of a print insertion roll and a print carrying course except the print insertion part from the outside.
CONSTITUTION: At the insertion of a print, the print insertion is detected by a print insertion detector 33 and upper and lower far infrared ray plate heaters 9, 10 are continuously kept at ON by a temperature controller 50, the passage of the print is detected by a print unloading detector 49, and the heaters 9, 10 are returned to the non-fixed state. Since upper and lower heat rolls 11, 12 can be interrupted from heat generated from the heater 9, 10 side by upper and lower heat reflecting plates 40, 44, temperature rise due to heat reception can be checked. The surface temperature of the upper heat roll 11 is detected by a temperature detector 34 and controlled within a prescribed temperature range by turning on/off a lamp type heater 25 by a temperature control device 50. At the passage of the print, the leading end of the print is detected by a print unloading detector 49 and an air blower 36 is driven by a fan controller 51 to cool the surface temperature of the upper and lower heat rolls 11, 12 and to keep it at a prescribed temperature.
