PURPOSE: To protect the painted surface from burning due to the welding heat, by securing the fixing chip to the deck through an insulative member such as the asbestos then painting the surface and welding the foot of the rig to the fixing piece.
CONSTITUTION: A fixing piece 3 is previously welded through an insulative member 2 such as an asbestos to a structural member 1 such as an upper deck of a ship where the load oil tank such as a product carrier is applied with the special painting. Then the surface painting is applied on the structural member 1. Thereafter the foot section 5 is welded to a fixing piece 4 to fix the rig such as the piping unit. Here, the temperature of the structural member 1 due to the welding heat is lowered below 100°C through the insulative member 2 such as the asbestos cloth thereby the painted surface of the structural member 1 is protected from the burning.
