Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a large fixing force by a small number of PC steel materials to effectively transmit a moment from a steel framed column to a lower structure, and also enhance the lower structure to effectively prevent the cracking.

CONSTITUTION: To fix the pedestal of a steel framed column 3 to a lower structure 1 made of reinforced concrete, the base plate 5 of the steel framed column is fastened to the lower structure by a PC steel material 4 embedded in the lower structure. By giving a tension to the PC steel material, a prestress is introduced to the lower structure.
