Abstract:
To provide a flame retardant meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide fiber improved in strength deterioration and coloring due to thermal exposure under a use environment, because the fiber provides excellent flame retardancy and fiber strength from the viewpoint of safety and long-term safety performance, and a fabric made thereof.SOLUTION: A flame retardant meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide fiber has 30 or greater of a combustion limit oxygen index LOI of the fiber, 3.5 cN/dtex or higher of tensile strength, 90 or greater of a lightness L value, and 80 or greater of a yellow discoloration degree L-b value in accordance with ISO 2469.SELECTED DRAWING: None
