To obtain the subject composition having extremely high flame- retardancy, generating remarkably decreased amount of gases in molding, causing extremely low corrosion of the mold and useful for electric and electronic parts, etc., by compounding a specific alkaline earth metal compound.
This polyamide resin composition is composed of (A) 1-00 pts.wt. of a polyamide resin composition composed of (a) 30-90wt.% of a polyamide, (b) 8-40wt.% of a bromine-based flame-retardant, (c) 1-20wt.% of a flame- retarding assistant and (d) 0.01-2wt.% of at least one kind of alkaline earth metal compound selected from (i) an alkaline earth metal hydroxide and (ii) alkaline earth metal carbonate and (B) 10-100 pts.wt. of an inorganic reinforcing agent. Preferably, the component (b) is a brominated polystyrene, the component (c) is antimony oxide and the component (d) is calcium hydroxide.
