Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the dimensional stability of a flame retardant polymer- impregnated wood and improve living environment.
SOLUTION: A flame retardant substance and an acrylic polymer are impregnated in the xylem of a flame retardant polymer-impregnated wood, resulting in surrounding the flame retardant substance with a hardened acrylic polymer in the xylem. Since the flame retardant substance resistant to a fire is included, this wood has a resisting power against a fire. Since the acrylic polymer is employed, the dimensions of the wood is stabilized and harmful influence is not given on a living environment.
