Abstract:

To provide a flame-retardant polyphenylene ether resin composition to which a non-halogen flame-retardant that gives an excellent flame-retardancy with a small amount of addition, has an excellent hydrolysis resistance, does not deteriorate the original mechanical strength of the resin, is an easy-to-handle solid and is cost-effective is added.

This flame-retardant polyphenylene ether resin composition is obtained by adding one of naphtylphosphate compounds (having a melting point of not less than 50°C) of formula (I): (wherein n=1 or 2) or their mixture to a polyphenyleneether resin.
