To provide a thermoplastic resin material having high flame retardancy (self-extinguishing property), which is free from generating a toxic gas during burning or bleed-out of a flame retardant, which maintains excellent mechanical resin performances even when a large amount of an inorganic flame retardant is compounded to increase the flame retardancy of the thermoplastic resin, and which exhibits improved whitening resistance and wear resistance against external force, and favorable flexibility and moldability, and to provide a flame-retardant molding using the material.
This flame-retardant polypropylene resin composition is obtained by compounding 50 to 300 parts by weight of a flame retardant component (B), which comprises 0 to 90 wt.% of magnesium hydroxide and/or aluminum hydroxide (B1) and 10 to 100 wt.% of hydrotalcite (B2) (wherein the total of (B1) and (B2) is 100 wt.%), and 0 to 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic elastomer component (C), into 100 parts by weight of a propylene-ethylene copolymer component (A) having specified characteristics (i) and (ii) (not shown in figures). The flame-retardant molding is obtained by using the above composition.
