Title:
FLAME-RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR MOLDING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010241958
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a styrene-based resin composition made flame-retardant by using a non-halogen flame retardancy imparting component and containing especially HIPS/PPE as a resin component.

A metal sulfide, a phenyl siloxane and/or organosiloxane and/or a silicone rubber are used as the flame retardancy imparting component, the component is kneaded with a resin component including a styrene-based polymer to produce a resin composition and the resin composition is e.g. injection molded to produce an exterior of an electrical home appliance and the like. Especially when a high impact polystyrene or a mixture of the high impact polystyrene and polyphenylene ether is made flame-retardant, a resin composition having excellent flame retardancy can be obtained as a non-halogen material by using a mixture of molybdenum disulfide, a phenyl siloxane, an organosiloxane and a silicone rubber as the flame retardancy imparting components.
