Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition and a molding from this flame-retardant resin composition which have excellent flame-retardance and combine such contradictory physical properties together as flexibility and heat resistance as well as processability and mechanical strength, and moreover are light weight and good scratch resistance, and therefore which are highly practical and usable for various applications.
SOLUTION: The flame-retardant resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a resin component consisting of 15-60 wt.% of (A) a thermoplastic polymer having a softening temperature (a deflection temperature under load, at a load of 1.8 MPa) of 65°C or higher or a Vicat softening temperature of 90°C or higher and having in the main chain a specific linkage expressed by general formula (I) or (II), 5-50 wt.% of (B) a styrene-based elastomer, and 20-50 wt.% of (c-1) an ethylene/unsaturated ester copolymer or (c-2) an ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer or its ionomer; and 0.5-30 pts.wt. of (D), a phosphorus- based flame-retardant.
