PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant resin composition that has high heat resistance, excellent impact resistance and hydrolytic stability in addition to high flame retardancy. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant resin composition comprises (A) a thermoplastic resin bearing aromatic rings as the main chain, (B) a phosphoric ester represented by the formula (wherein R1-R4 are each independently a 1-30C hydrocarbon; X is a divalent 1-30C organic group which may bear O and/or N atoms; (m) is an integer of 0-5) and (C) an alkoxy group-bearing organopolysiloxane represented by the formula: R1aSi(OR2)bO(4-a-b)/2, (wherein R1-R2 are identical to or different from each other and are each a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; 0.2≤a≤2.7; 0.2≤b≤2.4 where a+b is in the range of 3). In this case, the amount of the phosphoric ester (B) is 0.1-40 pts.wt. and the amount of the alkoxy group-bearing organopolysiloxane (C) is 0.01-20 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the resin (A).
