Abstract:
To provide a flame-retardant resin composition which is excellent in carbon dioxide gas-whitening resistance, and in moldability and mechanical characteristics while using magnesium hydroxide as a flame retardant.SOLUTION: A flame-retardant resin composition contains a resin component and a metal hydrate. The metal hydrate contains a combination of a metal hydrate subjected to fatty acid treatment and a metal hydrate subjected to phosphoric acid ester treatment including at least one of magnesium hydroxide subjected to fatty acid treatment and magnesium hydroxide subjected to phosphoric acid ester treatment. The flame-retardant resin composition contains 90 mass% or more of the total of at least one base resin selected from an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and an ethylene-(meth)acrylate copolymer, and a compatibilizer containing a polyolefin-based resin modified with a polar group-containing compound and a polar group-containing terpolymer, in 100 mass% of the total amount of the resin component, and 120-250 pts.mass of the metal hydrate based on 100 pts.mass of the total of the base resin and the compatibilizer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
