Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an allyl oligomer containing bromine atoms and acting effectively as a reactive flame retardant, represented by a specified structural formula. CONSTITUTION:A flame-retarding allyl oligomer which is either an oligomer (I) having a structural formula I (wherein B is a bivalent organic residue derived from a diol having at least one bromine atom; A is a 1-20 C bivalent organic residue; and (n) is an integer of 1-100); or an oligomer (II) which is a polymer terminated with an allyl ester group and having structural units of formulas II and III (wherein x is an integer of 1-10; and Z is an organic residue derived from a polyol having (x+1) hydroxyls groups; B is a bivalent organic residue derived from a diol having at least one allyl group; and A is a 1-20C bivalent organic residue) and has 10-98mol%, based on the constitution of the oligomer except the terminal allyl group, units of formula II and the balance of units of formula III.
