Title:
FLAT BELT MADE OF ROPE AND HAVING ENGAGING LOOPS AT ENDS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5872752
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To promote the durability and flexibility of a flat belt having engaging loops at the ends, by folding a rope zigzag, displacing the filaments of the ends of the rope from one side edge of the folded rope to the other and securing the ends of the filaments. CONSTITUTION:A rope 1 is folded zigzag horizontally so that loops 2 with the same radius of curvature are concentrically formed at both the ends of the folded rope. The filaments 5 of the ends of the rope 1 are sequentially untwisted. The untwisted filaments 5 are displaced from one side edge of the belt-shaped part 4 of the rope to the other through the twisting lines of the rope. The tips of the filaments 5 are coupled to each other.
