PURPOSE: To obtain a flat bottle fitted with an in-mold label solving the point at issue from the aspect of molding in response to such a request that the outer diameter dimension of the neck part of the flat bottle is desired to be made large or generated when the outer diameter dimension is made large.
CONSTITUTION: Labels 131, 132 having thermally adhesive coating layers applied to the single surfaces thereof are fitted to the interior of a blow mold so that the thermally adhesive coating layers face to the inside of the mold and a bottle is subjected to blow molding in this mold and, at the same time, the labels 131, 132 are bonded to the outer surface of the bottle to obtain a flat bottle 100 fitted with the in-mold labels. The value W/D of the ratio of the max. width dimension W of the side surface of the body part having narrower width among the body parts 121, 122 of the flat bottle 100 and the min. outer diameter dimension D of the neck part 110 of the bottle is set to 1.0-2.0 and a cutting-off part of which the upper end outer diameter dimension is smaller than the min. outer diameter dimension of the neck part 110 is provided to the upper part of the neck part 110 of the flat bottle 100 and cut off and separated after the blow molding of the bottle.
