To provide a flat cable whose ends can be simultaneously worked and soldering ground bars.

The flat cable 15 is equipped with a lower ground bar 10 and an upper ground bar 11 which sandwich only coaxial cables 2 while the discrete cables 7 are not sandwiched in a preset area near the cable ends. This lower ground bar 10 and the upper ground bar 11 are soldered to the shield layers 5 of the coaxial cables 2 exposed by removing the outer insulation coating 6 in a preset area. However, the upper ground bar 11 to which a heater means 73 is applied is cut out above the discrete cables 7. Thanks to the lower ground bar 10 and the upper ground bar 11 of the above structure, heat from a heater means 73 is not transferred directly to the insulation coating 9 of the discrete cable 7 through the upper ground bar 11. Therefore, the ground bars can be soldered without melting the insulation coating 9.
