Abstract:
PURPOSE:To disperse generated heat of a flat coil and to reduce the size of the coil by increasing the axial thickness of the bore of the coil which has many conductors disposed radially on the front and back surfaces, thereby suppressing the increase in the current density of the conductor in the bore. CONSTITUTION:Many conductors 1 of the same shape are radially disposed on the front and back surfaces of a disc-shaped insulating plate 2, the conductors 1 on the front and back surfaces are welded at the inner and outer peripheral ends 1a, 1b through the plate 2 to form a flat coil, and a hole 1f in which a rotational shaft 6 is disposed, is formed at the central part. The average axial thickness of the first non-effective part 1c of the flat coils made of the first non-effective part 1c at the inner peripheral side, the effective part 1b at the periphery of the first non-effective part 1c and the second effective part 1a at the outer peripheral side is increased larger than the average axial thickness of the effective part 1b, thereby suppressing the increase in the current density of the bore bore part. In order to irregularly form the thickness of the conductors, a method of electrodepositing the flat plate of conductors in an electric field can be employed.
