Abstract:

To realize the electron radiation characteristic of high efficiency by fixing a carbon nanotube to a cathode electrode with low resistance, in a state of hardly separating, and securing the exposure in an electric field space.

A field emission electron source, forming the cathode electrode on a back panel 1, is at least partially anchored on an anchor layer composed of a conductive material and laminated on an electrode 6 for cathode, formed on an inner face of the back panel, for forming a carbon nanotube assembly 9 which includes the carbon nanotube 13 exposed to the field space.
