Abstract:

Offset printing plates consisting of a metal plate coated with (A) a light-sensitive water-soluble diazo cpd. suitable for offset printing, covered with (B) a photo-polymerisable mixt. as used for offset printing, contg. (a) and ABS resin, nb) an acrylic, polyurethane and/or polyamide resin, (c) a cellulose resin, (d) a radical-polymerisable monomer or oligomer and (e) a cpd. producing free radicals on irradiation. Life in storage and in use is increased and clarity of the prints improved.
