Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for measuring the flatness of a rolled steel plate where tension is applied.
CONSTITUTION: An elastic deformation roll 2 which is elastically deformed in diameter direction and a distance measuring means 1 for measuring the distance to the surface of a sectional sheet which is carried in contact with the surface of the elastic deformation roll 2 are provided and then the flatness is measured on the basis of the measured distance, thus measuring the flatness of the steel plate being rolled by a steel plate rolling facility on-line and in real time.
