Abstract:
To provide a peptide inhibiting the fusion between the virion envelope of a Flavivirus and the membrane of a target cell.
The isolated peptide is provided, being selected from (a) a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence consisting of a specific sequence; (b) a benzylated derivative of the peptide; (c) a glycosylated derivative of the peptide; (d) a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence consisting of a specific sequence, wherein the peptide is linked to a carrier protein; and (e) a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence consisting of a specific sequence, wherein the peptide contains the enantiomer of a naturally-occurring amino acid's residue.
